Morthak was the scrawniest of his siblings, constantly beat on and
attacked. He learned early on that he was quicker than many
of the other goblins and thus learned how to avoid them. It was
during his eighteenth year that he was taken to the Monolith
of his people. It was there he first met the priests that lead
the goblin people's religious gatherings. It was here he felt
the blood call. While the priest of Necruficer preached about
obedience and service, Morthak looked around at his
fellow goblins. He saw in them that each race of goblinoid spread a
different plague, bore a different power.
*thump* His blood.... *thump* it was poisonous. *thump* The blood of
the goblin people *thump* it was disease.
We are the carriers *thump* we are the chosen *Thump* but not of
Necrucifer....
"and blessed be Dragoth, the son."
Dragoth....it echoed in his brain and sent his blood rushing. Yes...it
was Dragoth who called to the goblins. We are His
people, we are His servants. He looked around at the once
proud people, saw them gathered but they were not free.
Outside the Althainian guards patrolled, not often for they could not
bear the stench. Always under watch, always
under foot, they would rise once more and become the army that they
were under Gew. Yes and Morthak would
be a part of that, he would reunite the clans. He would help lead his
people to strength and as they grew in power
so would Dragoth.
Morthak left that day, his first quest was to gain the power he needed
and the attention of his god.
Morthak seeks two things, to serve Dragoth and to united the
goblins. It is his belief that the goblins are an extension of
Dragoth's will
upon Algoron. No one knows how they were created. No one knows
where they came from. By gaining power over the most
powerful goblins, he will ensure Dragoth is well respected and
worshiped. He will speak to many who believe goblins inferior,
like Althainians,
as most goblins speak "yus die now, yus not desr'v da bless'ns" to make
them believe he is not cunning. To those that serve Dragoth and those
of the other dark faiths he speak eloquently. He has taken a lot
of time to make sure his common is perfect. He will ally with
those of common
goals so long as it serves Dragoth and Dolund'ir. He will make
what sacrifices need to be made to those ends. Already many question him
for his role in Althainia. It is for Dragoth to judge him, no
other. In the end, he will sacrifice Dolund'ir for Dragoth. The two are
intertwined, if
Dragoth rises so do the goblins and vice versa.
